Guy E. Rowe Elementary School teamed up with Downtown Norway and area businesses to bring trick-or-treating to its students. “The idea was originally created when downtown Norway had to cancel their Halloween trick-or-treating and the Rowe school had to cancel their trunk-or-treating due to the events in Lewiston,” said Principal Cathy Bickford. “We wanted to give some fun back to the students.” The following organizations came to the school to set up a trick-or-treat assembly: Norway Savings Bank, Androscoggin Bank, 290 Maine, Pink Feather Foundation, Bennett Radio Group, Christ Episcopal Church, Oxford Hills Education Association, Oxford Comprehensive High School student volunteers, Norway Memorial Library and Norway Parks & Recreation.
