Sandra Gail Jordan

OTISFIELD – Sandra Gail Jordan, 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023.

Sandy was born on May 29, 1940, in South Paris, to her loving parents Carroll and Alta (Chase) Fickett. She grew up in the town of Otisfield which remained “home” for her entire life.

After graduating from Norway High School in 1958, Sandy pursued two jobs including cosmetology and servicing customers as a teller at Norway National Bank. On the weekends, she loved to dance, and regularly attended the Grange Hall in West Minot where she met her future husband and dance partner, Anthony Jordan of Poland. The couple married on Feb. 20, 1960, and after living briefly in Norway, moved to Otisfield in 1962 into a home next to Sandy’s parents. They settled into the small town where they shared life together raising two children, running a business, establishing friendships and volunteering in the community.

Sandy made her lifelong career as a caring and devoted daughter, wife, mother, aunt, nana, friend, and neighbor. As a young couple, she and Tony partnered with her parents to operate Fickett and Jordan Plumbing where Sandy helped manage the business ~ keeping the books and fielding calls from customers. As a community member, Sandy eagerly volunteered her time to the town she loved. She served on the Otisfield Fireman’s Ladies Auxiliary for many years, was a longstanding active member of the Spurrs Corner Church as well as a co-founder of the church’s food pantry, and a regular volunteer at community suppers.

Sandy drove many miles bringing kids to and from school activities and other events, and she rarely missed a concert, performance, or game in which one of her kids or grandkids participated. Sandy will be well-remembered for her kindness, faithfulness, friendship, and for always putting her family first.

Sandy leaves behind a daughter, Rhonda Bullock and her husband Marshall, of Raymond, a son, Kyle Jordan and his wife Jeni, of Otisfield; granddaughters Molly Jordan, Mackenzie Jordan, Carlee Mae Cash and Alyson Cash; several nieces and nephews; a very special pup, Zoe; and many dear friends.

She is now reunited with her husband of 58 years, Anthony Jordan.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. at Spurrs Corner Church, 1005 State Route 121 in Otisfield.

Arrangements are in the care of the Hall Funeral Home, 165 Quaker Ridge Rd. in Casco. Condolences and tributes may shared at http://www.hallfuneralhome.net.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to
