AUBURN — Lucille “Lucy” Marie Violette, 73, brought calm to those who were around her, including animals, according to her obituary. She provided a caring voice without judgment.
She worked in the Lewiston Public Schools business office for 52 years, with a strong sense of integrity and work ethic guiding her, according to her obituary. Through her participation in two different bowling leagues and support for the local youth bowling league, she formed many bonds with kids and families who referred to her as youth league mom. She has three sons and six grandchildren.
Lucy was with her husband, Bob Violette, at Just-In-Time Recreation on Oct. 25.
Her funeral service, along with her husband’s, is scheduled for at 10 a.m. Tuesday at East Auburn Baptist Church. A private family committal will follow the service. Instead of flowers, the family is requesting donations for The Bob and Lucy Violette Bowling Memorial Fund in care of the Law Offices of Dionne & Couturier of Lewiston.
