POLAND — The Tri-Town Optimist Club of Mechanic Falls, Minot, and Poland is proud to announce its latest RSU 16 Student of the Month recipient. Sixth grader, Aurora Sands, from Poland Community School was recognized today as our Optimist Student of the Month for October.

Aurora is described by her teacher and principal as a student leader who always models the school code of conduct. She consistently puts forth her best effort and has a positive outlook. Aurora is responsible, and kind, and can always be counted on to help others. Congratulations, Aurora!
