LEWISTON — Danielle Adams put together a double-double to pace Bates College to an 87-40 victory over University of Maine at Farmington in a non-conference women’s basketball matchup Tuesday night at Alumni Gym.
Adams recorded game-high totals of 14 points and 12 rebounds for the Bobcats, who opened their season with a resounding victory. Davina Kabantu and Mya Hicks each added 11 points for Bates, which led 38-18 at halftime.
Jessica Dow led the Beavers (1-3) with nine points, Grace Dwyer had eight and a team-high seven rebounds, and Ruby McMinis added seven points and two steals. Dirigo grad Alyssa McTyre made a 3-pointer for her first collegiate points.
