Raymond P. Cloutier
LEWISTON – Raymond P. Cloutier, 87, formerly of 25 Wilson Street, Lewiston, died on Nov. 11, 2023, at the d’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston.
Born in Lewiston on July 27, 1936, he was the son of Ernest and Anna Cloutier. Educated in local schools, he joined the U.S. Army in 1959. Following his honorable discharge in 1961, Ray moved to California with his sister Jeanne and her husband Fern Poulin, and he went to work in the aerospace industry. Ray returned to Lewiston in 1983 in order to care for his mother after his father’s death. He met Claire Potvin at St. Mary’s Hospital, and they were married on June 23, 1989. Mrs. Cloutier passed away on July 6, 2021. Ray loved to garden, and enjoyed taking trips to Canada with his wife.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and siblings, Gerard Cloutier, Theresa Chabot, Jeanne Poulin, Robert Cloutier, and Sister Madeleine Cloutier.

A Liturgy of the Word service with military honors will be held Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023, 11 a.m., in the large mausoleum of St. Peter’s Cemetery.
