AUBURN — Joseph “Joe” Walker, 57, lived life to the fullest, according to his obituary. As a devoted and loving family member, he enjoyed his grandchildren, who called him “Bumpa.” He enjoyed meeting new people and organizing events at his job.
He played darts, pool and had recently taken up cornhole, running two leagues out of Schemengees Bar and Grille Restaurant on Lincoln Street in Lewiston, where he worked as a manager, according to his obituary. He took an annual trip to Florida with his wife, which he looked forward to every year. He was a Red Sox fan, attending games with his best friend.
Joe was at Schemengees on Oct. 25.
Visitation is scheduled Friday from 3-5 p.m. at East Auburn Baptist Church, 560 Park Ave., with a service after. There will be a celebration of life Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. at Sliders Sports Pub, 40 East Ave. in Lewiston. The family is asking that people make donations to the Dempsey Center in Joe’s memory instead of sending flowers.
