CASCO — The Casco Village Church, United Church of Christ is hosting our annual “Christmas in the Village” Holiday Fair on Saturday, Dec. 2 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.. This year’s fair will feature a cookie walk, a soup & sliders luncheon from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., a bake table, raffle table, and our Christmas vendors are back with spaces still available. NORWAY — Beautiful handmade balsam Christmas wreaths will be sold on Saturday, Nov. 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., or until we run out, at the Second Congregational Church, UCC, 205 Main Street, Norway. Please come early and choose your wreath while the selection is abundant. Price $20 each.
The Thrift Shoppe at the Second Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, 205 Main Street in Norway will also be open on Nov. 25. Thanks to generous donations from the Oxford Hills Community, the Thrift Shoppe will feature unique and common household items, seasonal decorations, tools, dishes, glassware, books, jewelry, linens, antiques and so much more. All items are clean, in good working order, and very reasonably priced. There is also a special section of Christmas toys and games. Some are new and some are gently used.
The money raised by the Wreath Sale and Thrift Shoppe will support the many missions of our community church, which include but are not limited to the monthly free drive-thru supper, online and in-person worship services, Sunday school, Bible study, donations to local food pantries, knitting and book groups.
OTISFIELD — Come One, Come All. A Christmas Fair is being held on Saturday, Dec. 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The East Otisfield Free Baptist Church, located at 231 Rayville Road, Otisfield. Jewelry, wreaths, swags, crafts, fiber, and fabric gifts will be for sale. From our kitchen, homemade breads, pies, bars, sweets, baked beans, and chowders, plus our much celebrated, but never duplicated Cookie Walk.
All monies raised will benefit the EOFBC Food Pantry, which services the Otisfield community. Western Maine Regional Program will also have a table at our event, where they will be selling jewelry, ornaments, key ring holders, and sweet treats. All proceeds from their table will be going back into their program.
