After the recent electoral sweep, Lewiston can anticipate the return of our City Council to a modicum of sanity.
As Ward 3 School Committee representative, however, I do worry that such ugliness might migrate to the schools. After all, it has done so in other localities, near and far.
Nominating the City Council representative to the School Committee is a mayoral responsibility. For the sake of our students and to support our public school staff, Lewiston must reelect Mayor Carl Sheline.
This run-off has real consequences — some of them in unexpected places.
