ANSWER: My thought is that it’s very important to keep these community suppers going throughout the winter. It gives everyone a convivial event to look forward to. Thank you to all the churches and organizations who work hard to make this happen.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Lisbon Area Christian Outreach Food Pantry will hold its annual Christmas Fair on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the MTM Center on School Street in Lisbon Falls. There will be a bake sale, raffle tables, crafters, food, etc. Santa will be there from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Another reminder that the Christmas Market at the Foss Mansion at 19 Elm St. in Auburn will be held Dec. 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and supports mansion restoration.

A variety of high-quality, handmade crafts and goods by 18 local crafters and artisans will be available. Families will enjoy a delightful holiday experience with face painting and piano music. Santa will be upstairs so you can take your own photos with him. Ella’s Boutique will sell baskets for Christmas gifts and homemade baked goods will be available downstairs. — Kathy, no town
