We need a mayor who can collaborate with others and values Lewiston as a whole city — all of its businesses, residents, and every one of its wards.

We can no longer ignore the dangers on our streets, and we need to make changes so Lewiston can thrive.

This fall, Jon Connor came to my business for a visit. We addressed all the changes that have occurred since I located to East Avenue in 2005. He listened.

Lewiston needs a strong leader much more than we need a head cheerleader. We need a mayor who can lead an orderly council meeting, listen and work with everyone at the table, have the knowledge and insight to choose the right people for committees and projects, and work with those who aren’t just friends and allies.

I hope people get out to vote in the runoff and cast their vote for Jon.

Kim Craig, Lewiston
