Finnish-American
WEST PARIS — The Finnish-American Heritage Society of Maine will be holding its monthly meeting at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 17 at the FinnAm building at 8 Maple Street, West Paris. Following a brief business meeting, we will be presenting Christmas Story, the touching Finnish story of how Santa Claus came to be Santa. Weather permitting, upon the conclusion of the film, join us at the Finnish Cemetery on Pioneer Street in West Paris, where we will place candles on our ancestors’ headstones. All are invited to bundle up and attend. Candles will be provided for those who don’t have their own.
