BETHEL — The propeller of a single-engine small plane struck the runway while landing Friday morning at the Bethel Regional Airport.

The pilot was the only person aboard the Cirrus SR22, when the incident happened at at 11:20 a.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

There were no immediate reports of injuries.

The registered owner of the plane is Robert J. Camoin II of Sarasota Springs, Florida, according to the FAA Registry.

According to Steve Kulm, a public affairs specialist for the FAA, the agency will continue the investigation to determine the name of the pilot and his or her medical condition. The agency hopes to issue a preliminary accident report in a matter of days.
