Theodore “Ted” J. Daigle
MEXICO – Theodore “Ted” J. Daigle, 65, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2023, at the Hospice House in Auburn. Ted was born in Rumford, on April 24, 1958, and was the
son of Maurice and Patricia Daigle. Ted was a 1976 graduate of Mexico High School. Ted served in the Army National Guard prior to joining the United States Army in 1979 to 1983, specializing as an automotive mechanic.
Ted was an accomplished automotive mechanic owning and operating his own garage until his retirement. Ted enjoyed fishing, hunting, motorcycle riding and spending time with his family.
Ted is survived by his longtime companion of 23 years, Margaret Wing as well as his son, TJ Daigle and his wife Melanie, daughter, Andi Watts and husband Tim, daughter Maryann Wing, his sisters, Gloria Patenaude and husband Roland, Brenda Poirier and husband Jim, Bridget Ellis and husband Ed, Debbie Varnum and husband Diamond, and sister-in-law, Annette Daigle, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Ted was predeceased by his mother and father, and his brother, Maurice Daigle and Margaret’s son, Bruce Wing.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford, on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023, from 2-4 p.m. There will be a reception following the visitation at the Mexico American Legion/Lions Club at 33 Roxbury Road, Mexico. Graveside services will be held in the Spring at Greenwood Cemetery in Dixfield. Arrangements are under the direction of Meader & Son Funeral Home.
