Robert L. Gosselin
LEWISTON – Robert L. Gosselin, 80, of 14 Roy St., Lewiston, died at his home on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023, following a long illness and with his family by his side.
Born in Auburn on March 10, 1943, he was the son of Willie and Ruth Bragdon Gosselin. Educated in local schools, he was a graduate of Edward Little High School.
On Sept. 16, 1966, he married the love of his life, the former Therese R. Deschamps, who passed away on May 28, 2003.
Known to his friends as “Goose,” Bob was an Auburn police officer for many years, retiring from the force in 1995. He loved spending time with his family, and enjoyed working on and fixing computers. A generous soul, he loved giving gifts and doing things for others.
He is survived by his daughter, Tina Wood and husband Kenneth of Lewiston; a brother-in-law, the Rev. Wilfred Deschamps of Jaffrey, N.H.; and a granddaughter, Kendra Wood and her fiancé Brandon Barone.
Besides his parents and his beloved wife, Therese, he was predeceased by eight brothers and sisters.
His family thanks the staff of the Lewiston Dialysis Center on Main Street, Lewiston, for the care they gave him these past 10 years.
