100 Years Ago: 1923

The employees of Mutual Benefit Association members of the International Mill were invited Sunday evening to St. Rocco Hall, where a smoke talk was enjoyed. The feature of the evening’s program was the minstrel show presented by local talent after which a splendid lunch was served.

50 Years Ago: 1973

When the Association of Unitarian-Universalist Women meets Wednesday evening for a Christmas party, members will be entertained by Miss Lee Ann Rosin, a Lewiston Comprehensive High School Senior and member of its chorale group. Miss Rosin, daughter of Mrs. Barbara Rosin of Tall Pines, Lewiston, is from Little Rock, Ark., where she has done television and club dates.

Hostesses for the meeting are Mrs.. Louis Sieckowski, Mrs. George Hewison, Mrs. Hazel Conant. Mrs. Robert Thorpe, Mrs. Clyde Thorpe, Mrs. Verena MacLean, Mrs. Chester Webbley, and Miss Esther Thorpe. Mrs. Sieckowski and Mrs. Hewison are co-chairmen.

25 Years Ago: 1998

A holiday concert will be offered at 7:30 pm on Saturday at the Unitarian Universalist Church at 169 Pleasant St., Auburn. It will feature Row by Rowe and Phil House offering holiday music and some old favorites. House’s new CDs, baked goods and coffee will be available.
