BETHEL — Telstar Junior Varsity Rebels fell, 49-44, to Dirigo High School on Friday. Trailing 16-9, Telstar JV Rebels went on a 9-1 run to take the lead. Trailing 34-23, the Rebels went on a 13-point run to take the lead.

Connor Deprey was the leading scorer for Telstar with 9 points. The Rebels’ 10-19 shooting on twos was a key factor in the game. Telstar JV shot well from distance, going 7-21 from three. Ivan Chernomorets knocked down two shots from beyond the arc for Telstar. Deprey pounded the glass, collecting five rebounds to lead Telstar.

Also contributing for Telstar were Chernomorets (6 points), Shoki Sakuma (6 points), Gage Berry (5 points), Hunter Winslow (5 points), Nate Clarey (5 points), Reggie Billings (3 points), Zach Dougherty (3 points), and Seth Depuis (2 points).
