OXFORD — Police arrested and charged a local woman Friday with a hit and run, according to a news statement.

Amber Croteau, 35, was driving her 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee on Main Street near the Oxbow Beer Garden when a male pedestrian was hit and seriously injured, according to the statement.

An Oxford police detective and officer apprehended Croteau at her residence, conducted tests for impaired driving and charged her with aggravated operating under the influence with injury, leaving the scene of a personal injury accident and aggravated driving to endanger and violating conditions of release.

Since Croteau had bail conditions for an unrelated felony theft charge, she was also charged with violating conditions of release.

While authorities were conducting Croteau’s field sobriety test, her boyfriend — Spencer Martinez, 30, of Paris — arrived at the residence. Martinez was arrested and charged with operating under the influence.
