AUBURN – Eula (Pudge) Blanding, 88, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023. She was born on Oct. 19, 1935, a daughter to Hubert and Irma (Rowley) Reeves.

She was born and raised in Belding, Mich., and began working on her father’s potato farm at an early age. She attended Belding schools, graduating from Belding High in 1953.

After graduation, she married Gilbert “Mike” Blanding on Sept. 12, 1953. He predeceased Eula in 2002.

She retired from General Motors in 1989 in Grand Rapids, Michigan after 30 years of service.

She is survived by a daughter Lori Simard and her husband Steve as well as her son Larry Blanding, both from Auburn, Maine. She also leaves behind her three grandsons, Joshua Simard of Poland, Gregory Blanding of Sparta, Mich., and Cory Blanding of Greenville, Mich. She is also survived by her two great grandsons Michael and Marshall Blanding of Sparta, Mich.

She was predeceased in death by her parents, two sisters Eunice Clark and Sarah Scheid, as well as her brother Fred Reeves who are all from Michigan.

There will be no services at this time.
