NORWAY — Staff from the Norway Center for Health & Rehabilitation presented the Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine with a check for $4,400, the proceeds from its annual ticket auction that was held at the end of October.
Staff worked all year to procure items for the ticket auction, which has become a very popular annual event – more than 200 items were available. “We are so grateful to the staff of Norway Center for Health & Rehabilitation for this very generous gift,” said Diane Madden, director of the Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine.
‘This year I was able to attend the ticket auction and was amazed to see so many items – everything from a flat-screen TV to handcrafted earrings. This is an event that everyone should watch for next Fall!”

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
