Armand Camire
LEWISTON – Armand Camire, born in Pembroke, N.H., left to be with his Lord on Christmas evening at the age of 93. He raised his family in Turner and Auburn. He and his wife, Jean, lived in Leeds and most recently at the Meadows in Greene.
He worked at Bates Mill for over 40 years and later drove a school bus for the city of Auburn, which he really enjoyed.
Armand had eight children of his own when he married his love, Jean Dube Camire, and loved her four children as his own. His family was his pride and joy and he was an example for them in his work ethic, family values, acceptance and love of God.
He especially looked forward to his family Camire reunion each year, held in Monmouth at his brother’s camp, where hundreds would attend.
Missing him is his wife, Jean Camire; his children, Cyndy Bell, Dan Camire and wife Lorraine, John Camire and wife Giselle, Tim Camire and wife Cyndy of Texas, Joy Crocket and Bill Austin, Penny Case and husband Brian of Arkansas, Caroline Last and husband John of Missouri, Lisa Camire O’Neal, Lisa Voter and husband Doug, Ramona Gladu and husband Bob, Cathy Higgins, and David Dube and wife Judy of Arizona; many grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.
He is survived by his brother Richard (Toots) Camire and sister Dolores Lepage of Conn.
