My wish for the new year is a return to common decency and morality, to see kindness and caring everywhere.

I am hopeful Generation Z will march to the polls this November in droves to say we will not accept inaction in Congress while children are being massacred in our schools.

I wish to see women stampeding the voting booths to snatch back the right to own their own bodies.

I wish our justice system return to being apolitical and not be swayed by the whims of those in power and be tempted by favors.

I wish for our elected officials to act like decent human beings and just be nice to each other and to stop the childish threats and name calling.

I am hopeful most people are fed up and will stream to the polls and vote for the return to common sense and decency; it’s time to vote the loudmouth bums out.

I hope we will all survive the mud, the blood and the beer of this election year that has really been going on since 2020.
