Laurette I. Chamberlain
LEWISTON – Laurette I. Chamberlain, 97, of D’Youville Pavilion, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024.
She was born in Lewiston, Maine on Feb. 8, 1926, the daughter of the late Napoleon and Helena (Corriveau) Albert.
She married David Chamberlain on May 16, 1945. David predeceased her on June 25, 1992.
Laurette worked many years at the Bates Mill in the packing and shipping department. She had been a resident of D’Youville Pavilion, 4W, for several years.
She is survived by children, Doris Chamberlain and Patrick Howes, Dennis and Diane Chamberlain and Doreen and Dan Caron.
She leaves her grandchildren, James and Denise Girard, Gary Girard and Laura Graham, John and Amanda Chamberlain, Beth and Craig Perreault, Cory Chamberlain and Kourtni Proctor, Michelle and Kreg Hanning and Alyssa Grover. She also leaves eight great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass honoring Laurette’s life will be celebrated on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024, at the Basilica of Sts. Peter & Paul (Lower Church). Committal services will then follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway in Lewiston, 784-4023.
