LEWISTON — Rinck Advertising took silver in the 19th annual Davey Awards for its redesign of the Maine Cancer Foundation’s Tri for a Cure logo.

Each year, over 1,000 women gather in South Portland to participate in Tri for a Cure, Maine’s only all-women triathlon, involving swimming, biking and running.

Rinck updated the Tri for a Cure logo and delivered a simple, modern aesthetic to the established symbolism of the pink ribbon, creating a more self-contained and stand-alone icon. 

The Maine Cancer Foundation’s decision to redesign the Tri for a Cure logo was driven by a strategic imperative to modernize its visual identity and enhance versatility across mediums. Recognizing the significance of Tri for a Cure, the foundation wanted a logo that reflected the enduring spirit of the triathlon with a contemporary aesthetic that could be integrated into diverse applications, including apparel and media placements. 

Rinck has partnered with the Maine Cancer Foundation for more than 12 years, fostering a collaborative relationship focused on a range of projects spanning website development to public relations initiatives.
