PARIS — The Town of Paris Parks & Recreation Dept. is growing. It is expanding its programs for all ages to offer new, entertaining, and enriching activities and events in 2024. The new person leading up the Recreation Department, KC Christensen, is hearing from many locals, especially isolated seniors, who want to get out of the house and make positive connections.
Oxford Hills individuals and families are asking for more programs in the long Winter too, so the Paris Rec. Dept. has just kicked off a popular new Pickleball Program with more than 200+ people interested. Line Dancing, Family Yoga, Painting, Martial Arts, Trivia Night, Karaoke to Dog Training, Ceramics, Crafts, Circus Arts, and Game Nights are being scheduled.
Later in the Spring and Summer, Baseball, Softball, Tie Dye, Nature Classes, Special Events, and Free Summer Concerts in the Park are also in the mix. To learn more or register for a Program, visit the Parks & Recreation Committee Facebook page for more info.
To engage the community and support local businesses, KC is hoping to hear from people with class ideas and referrals for quality instructors, businesses, and band referrals at [email protected] or call the Recreation Dept. at 743-2501 x 8.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
