Lauze began her adult Girl Scout member journey when she was asked to fill in as a troop leader for her daughters’ Brownie troop. Since then, she has filled several roles within the River Valley Service Unit such as treasurer, troop leader and community engagement specialist, according to a news release from Helen Ruhlin with Girl Scouts of Maine.

Volunteerism is a word that comes to mind when considering the hard work and effort that Lauze embodies within every Girl Scout endeavor she takes on. In her own words, being a troop leader has been “an extremely rewarding and fun” experience in which she enjoys watching her Girl Scouts try new things and grow as individuals.

Known for her diligence and commitment to completing each task she accepts with heart, accuracy, and excellence, Lauze ensures that River Valley troops, Girl Scouts, and volunteers are always in good hands.
