Lorraine P. (St. Pierre) Masse
AUBURN – Lorraine P. Masse, 91, of Auburn was welcomed by the Lord with open arms on the 16th of January 2024, at Clover Manor Healthcare.
Lorraine was born in Augusta on Jan. 21, 1932, the daughter of the late Albert and Laurence (Roy) St. Pierre. Lorraine was raised by her mother and step-father Romeo Turgeon in Lewiston.
Lorraine married the late Normand (Jean) Masse on May 29, 1949, beginning their 67 years of life, love and family. They lived in Lewiston before moving to Auburn in 1968. She was educated in Lewiston schools getting her GED in 1973 and then went on to CMVTI’s Nursing Program.
Lorraine was a hard worker and dedicated mother. During her 42 years at St. Mary’s Hospital in the Nursery, while raising her five children, she was able to observe the birth of all of her grandchildren, something she bragged about often with pride.
She loved spending time with her family and traveling with the love of her life Normand. They went on many trips building wonderful memories, including California, Hawaii, Alaska, Germany, France, England, and Italy. They enjoyed camping and had a winter home in Vero Beach, Fla. for several years.
She is survived by her daughter Diane Beaucage, her three sons Robert Masse and wife JoNell, Richard Masse and wife Cathy, Raymond Masse and wife Kim, and daughter Michele Brewer and husband Anthony. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Richard Giguere, Kevin Giguere, Amy Wiers, Eric Beaucage, Alaina Beaucage, Suzette Beaucage, Matthew Masse, Sara St. Laurent, Sonia Ramirez, Shari Tondreau, Ray Masse, Brett Fecteau, Drew Masse, Nicole Trudell and Danielle Moreau; 29 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; as well as two sisters, Linda Kelly and husband Brian and Sandra Jurczak, brothers-in-law Adrian Panula, Raymond Masse and wife Doris, sisters-in-law Pauline Firczak, Lorraine Bolen; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Normand Jean Masse, brothers Gerard St. Pierre, Roger Turgeon, a sister Jacqueline Panula; her son-in-law Paul Beaucage; and a special great granddaughter Sadie Tondreau.
The family invites you to a time of visitation on Monday Jan. 22 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Fortin Group Funeral Home, 70 Horton St, LEWISTON.
