District Governor of Rotary District 7780, Marion Cheney, and Club Foundation chair Steve Wight
At our meeting this week, we had the pleasure of welcoming the District Governor of Rotary District 7780, Marion Cheney. Marion shared with us her focused projects of her year as Governor which include international humanitarian aid to Ukraine through targeted relationships in nearby Poland.
She commended our club members as “People of Action” as demonstrated by our recent Emergency Flood Relief effort. Marion is from the Rotary Club of Dover, NH, and has been both a Rotarian and a leader in the District for more than 30 years. Pictured is Marion, with our Club Foundation Chair, Steve Wight.
We recognized the November/December Telstar HS Junior Student of the Month, Ella Akers of Andover. Ella shared her career aspirations to become a physician one day. Here Ella is pictured with the Bethel Rotary President Elect, Richard Tummon. We also presented one of our June 2023 Rotary Scholarship recipients, Natasha Mason, with her Educational Assistance Award. Natasha is pictured with the Rotary scholarship committee chairman, Dr. Kevin Finley.
