PARIS — The Oxford County Commissioners presented the Spirit of America Award from Woodstock to the Woodstock Conservation Commission for their dedication to protecting and managing the Buck’s Ledge Community Forest.

The commission is currently working to improve access to more people, including those in wheelchairs. The Highway Department improved the access road and scenic overlook. Plans are to build a wheelchair-accessible trail at that level of the scenic overlook.

From left, Steve Merrill, Oxford County Commissioner, Jane Chandler, Ed Rosenberg, Carla Phillips, and Marcel Polak. Missing from the photo are Woodstock Conservation Commission members Jim Chandler, Tony Giambro, and Bob McQueeney (recently resigned).
