This week’s column is brought to you by ascension, helicopters, and apple cake. What do they have in common? Well, if all goes according to plan, they both rise, but other than that, I was inspired to write about helicopters and ascension while making a sweet apple cake.

Ascension is written about everywhere and experienced by more and more people, as well as the entire planet we call Earth. Cool, huh? Everyone experiences it; it’s just that not everyone knows they are. I’ve read many complicated definitions of what it is, but I like mine to be simple, easy to understand, and digest. Like a sweet apple cake. Who doesn’t like simple and sweet? Essentially, it’s the process of raising our frequency (everything and everyone is a frequency) to be in harmony with God — a transformation of consciousness.

So, I use the helicopter analogy today because I often get nudged to write about certain things by seeing them repeatedly until I dial into the message, and this week, many conversations involved helicopters. The last was when my husband came home and said his guests were arriving by helicopter. See what I mean? That’s not a normal part of everyday conversations.

Helicopters have a substantial uplift, reaching great heights as they rise to the sky and sun. They’re seen as a symbol of a higher life perspective. They offer adventure and a 360-degree vision. They stir up everything around them and make much noise as they gain momentum. Once airborne, they settle into a rhythmic cadence as their blades whirl around. When you hear one coming in from afar, you can imagine the rhythmic sound of a heartbeat.

Last week, I spoke about feeling uncomfortable and weird as perfectly normal as we shed all those things we thought we knew as truth. All the layers of the outside world tell us how to think, dress, feel, act, and dream, even to the point of creating fear to ensure we behave. Now, our bodies are reacting to waking up and realizing they were all lies, causing us to bury our true selves and doubt our natural, gifted tendencies.

These uncomfortable feelings come as Source works on us to shed our old habits, beliefs, and ideas and climb into the ascension cockpit. We’re being prepared for the 360-degree view by rising above and triumphing over trauma and other challenges.

My friend, become comfortable with being uncomfortable. We are being made stronger. Source wants us to give up all that we thought we knew. Trust the process and prepare to rise. As we lift upward, we will have a clearer vision of what is required, and we will begin to understand that true freedom is freedom from fear as we acclimate to new frequencies and feel the physical shifts in our bodies. We are part of a collective creating a planetary change for the better.

Remember, we always have a choice. We can choose to stay in the pain and grief that feels comfortable. Or decide to fly.
