COUNTY — Oxford County Democrats are pleased to announce upcoming caucus dates and times for area-registered Democrats. The purpose of the caucus is to select delegates to the state convention, which will be held on May 31 – June 1, elect members of the Oxford County Democrats, and organize municipal committees if the town so desires.
“To reconnect with fellow Democrats is important as well,” said Barbara Arsenault, chair of Oxford County Democrats. Caucuses are being held on Saturday, Feb. 3, and Sunday, Feb. 4 throughout the county.
The caucuses will be held at Mountain Valley High School, Hartford Town Office, Telstar High School, Oxford Hills High School, Hiram Cultural Center, Fryeburg American Legion, Andover Town Hall, Otisfield Town Office, Byron Town Office, Canton Town Office, and Waterford Town Office.
To see the specific date, time, and location for your town, please go to MaineDems.org and choose 2024 Caucuses in the Events drop-down menu. In the case of a major snowstorm, the caucus will take place the following week at the same place and time.
The exception is Mountain Valley High School, as the snow date location will be the Rumford Falls Auditorium, which is on the third floor of the town office building.
We look forward to seeing fellow Democrats at the caucuses. Please contact Barbara Arsenault at [email protected] if you have any questions.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
