POLAND – Kenneth E. Damon Sr. 87, of Poland, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening Jan. 31, 2024 at his home with his family at his side. He was born in Lewiston March 2, 1936, the son of Carl and Fabiola Damon Sr.
He married his sweetheart Gloria A. Damon April 24, 1952. Kenneth attended Auburn schools and remained a lifelong resident of the Auburn Area where he served his community on the Police and Fire department.
Kenneth retired from Seltzer & Rydholm in 1995 and was a part-time resident of Inverness, Fla. He enjoyed his horses, fast cars, and spending time with family.
He is survived by his two sons, Kenneth E. Damon Jr. (Sherre Damon) of Florida, Mark A. Damon Sr. (Billie-Jo) of Mechanic Falls, his daughter, Laurie Paradis of Leeds (Randy Schenk); grandchildren, Michelle Cook of South Carolina, Gerry Paradis (Kari) of Minot, Richard Paradis of Poland, Tracy Paradis (Chris) of Readfield, Mark Damon Jr. (Kayla) of Oxford, and Sabrina Beebe (Alan) of New Hampshire; great-grandchildren, Fischer and Grace Cook of South Carolina, Hayden Smith, Gage Deas and Mason Deas of South Carolina, Devynn Maurais, Kalie, Laney, Mischa, Echo Paradis. Noah and Danielle Damon, Haylee Wiegman. Owen and Charlotte Beebe of New Hampshire; sisters Linda Moore and husband AI and Pat Stone.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Gloria A Damon Nov. 19, 2008.
Service will be held at Faith Baptist church located at 43 Washington Street in Auburn on Saturday Feb. 17 at 2 p.m.
