Robert “Bob” Bonney
NEWPORT RICHEY, Fla. – Robert “Bob” Bonney, 83, of New Port Richey, Fla., passed away on Jan. 26, 2024, at Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, Fla.
He married Joanne on August 10, 1963, who survives him. He is also survived by his two sons, Stephen Bonney and his wife Ellen of Strong, Maine, and Eric Bonney and his wife Denise of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; six grandchildren, Katie Stugis and husband Tony of Brunswick, Maine, Michael Bonney of Biddeford, Maine, Kayla Bonney of Highlands Ranch, Colo., Emma Bonney of Highlands Ranch, Colo., Amanda Tjonahen and husband Eric of Walpole, Mass., and Sarah Baumgartner of Bonaire, Ga.; four great-grandchildren, Maeve and Griffin Stugis of Brunswick, Maine, and Alexa and Evan Tjonahen of Walpole, Mass.
He was born to parents Howard Bonney and Grace Heald, on August 21, 1940, in Lewiston, Maine. He graduated from Buckfield High School and then enlisted in the United States Air Force as an aviation mechanic. Following the Air Force, he transitioned to a career in office equipment highlight by successfully running his own business. He enjoyed the time with his family most with some of the more frequent activities being bowling, skiing and sporting events.
