Dr. Kim Perreault, Stephens Memorial Hospital’s new Chief Medical Officer

NORWAY — Stephens Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Kim Perreault as the new Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Perreault will begin her new role on Feb. 5, and takes over for Dr. Ryan Knapp, who was recently promoted to the Vice President of Physician and Ambulatory Services for Stephens and MaineHealth Medical Group, Mountain Region.

As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Perreault will lead Stephens Medical Staff, ensuring high-quality care and enhancing the patient experience. Dr. Perreault will also act as the main liaison between the Medical Staff, Local Board, and Stephens’ leadership team. Collaborating closely with CMO colleagues in the MaineHealth System, she’ll drive system-wide initiatives for improved healthcare.

Dr. Perreault is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician with a distinguished career marked by her commitment to excellence and a drive for positive change. Since 2007, she has been a provider at Southern Maine Health Care, most recently serving as the Medical Director of Emergency Services, where her impressive track record showcases her dedication to advancing healthcare standards and ensuring the well-being of every care team member and patient.

Dr. Perreault earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her Emergency Medicine Residency training at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT.

She also completed the MaineHealth Physician Leadership and Development Fellowship program in 2016 and is currently enrolled in the Hanley Physician and Provider Executive Leadership Institute. Her academic achievements and continuous pursuit of knowledge reflect her dedication to staying at the forefront of evolving medical practices and innovations.
