Robert Emile Joseph Desjardins
AUBURN – Robert Emile Joseph Desjardins passed away Feb. 12, 2024 to join his beloved wife of 71 years, Simone. He was born April 22, 1933.
Bob served in the Army for many years spending time in Africa, Germany and all over the United States as a medic and French translator. In his later years he acted as courier for St. Mary’s Hospital.
He is survived by his daughters and their spouses, Catherine and Paul Fairbrother of Poland, Maine and Paulette and John Smith of Chesapeake, Va.; along with several generations of beautiful grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He has left us with many wonderful memories of his endless love of his family, animals and life. He will be forever in our hearts.
A celebration of life and service for both Bob and Simone will be held in the spring.
