To the Editor:
The Bethel Rotary Club is pleased to announce that our Spring Breakfast is returning to Gould Academy’s Ordway Hall on Sunday, March 17, from 7:30 – 11 a.m. As has been customary, it is an all-you-can-eat breakfast including pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, fruit, and beverages. The cost is $15 for adults and $10 for children 10 and under. Tickets will be available from Rotarians and at the door. All proceeds from the breakfast are invested right back into our community programs. We hope to see you there!

We would also like to offer an update on the recent Flood Relief Program that we facilitated. As of the end of the program, just over $85,000 was raised thanks to the generosity of approximately 200 donors. We would like to thank everyone who donated funds that helped Rotary to provide financial relief to those residents and businesses who applied. Rotary would like to give a huge shout-out to Troy & Shelby Murphy and their business partner, Drue, at 320ink in Westbrook, who successfully raised close to $7,000 through the sale of special t-shirts and hoodies designed for our cause. For those of you who do not know, Troy, aka Donny Pelletier, went to Gould Academy and successfully worked his way into the Olympics. Donny is truly a Maine Gem, with a personality that is a brand ambassador for Marden’s, Moxie, and many other companies. He was so kind to use his celebrity to raise funds for not only Bethel Rotary’s Flood Relief efforts but also the Maine Business Relief Fund, which is assisting many businesses across Maine that have been negatively affected by the December and January storms. Thanks, Donny!
