The Portland Symphony Orchestra presents a weekend of Broadway hit tunes, all selected previously by request. Featuring guest singers Teri Hansen (most recently in the national tours of “The Sound Of Music” (Elsa) and the Tony Award winning “An American In Paris”) and Destan Owens (Broadway’s “RENT” and “Chicago”), the program includes songs from “Wicked,” “Mamma Mia,” “RENT,” “Phantom of the Opera” and more. Filippo Ciabatti will make his guest conducting debut with the PSO.
The POPS! concerts are at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, and at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, at the Merrill Auditorium in Portland.
Tickets are available through PortTIX at 207-842-0800, porttix.com, and in person at the PortTIX box office Monday through Friday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
