Kathrn Ann Letourneau

HEBRON- Kathryn Ann Letourneau affectionately known as Katie, passed peacefully after a long illness on Feb. 19, 2024. She was a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend to all who knew her. Katie was always willing to lend a helping hand and a listening ear. Her warm personality, infectious smile and giving heart are just a few aspects of who she was. She touched the lives of countless individuals and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Katie was a fighter and a beacon of joy from the very start. Born to Bernie and Jane Turner on Feb. 1, 1967 as a preemie at 3.06-pounds, she entered earth taking on the world and doing so with great strength and love.

Katie grew up in Hebron, Maine which was her forever home. She lived a beautiful life on acres of land so full of love. Katie always took care of everyone from her dogs to horses to bunnies and kittys … she doted on her sister Kelly and brother Travis as well as anyone associated with them by exemplifying unconditional love. Her family was everything to her and the bond they shared was a beautiful one.

Katie graduated from Oxford Hills High School in 1985 and often shared such wonderful memories of her friends and her high school days as a Viking. She ventured off to college at the University of Maine in Orono and then spent her adult career working in the banking industry.

In summer of 1996, she married her love Tony Letourneau. They built a life together in Hebron, Maine and soon welcomed Cameron, their beautiful baby boy in 1997. If you were lucky enough to know Katie at this time, you would see how incredibly happy she was to be a mom. Cameron was her greatest gift and also her best friend.

Beyond her homelife, Katie was a pillar in her community known for her volunteer work at Hebron Station School and Minot Hebron Athletic Association. She served as Branch Manager and Vice President, Retail and Indirect Lending Officer at Norway Savings Bank and was named Employee of the Year and Person of the Year for the Chamber of Commerce. In true Katie spirit, she was nominated because of her dedication to her customers and the bank.

Katie always found a way to smile and love … She will be remembered for her storytelling, beautiful smile and giving heart. The love she gave will be forever cherished and she will continue to live inside our hearts.

To celebrate Katie’s life we will be having a service at Sacred Heart Church in Auburn, Maine on Friday, March 1, at 11 a.m.
