Carolyn Osgood

PARIS – Born in Waterford, May 24, 1937, to Marjorie and Hugh Foster. Carolyn attended Waterford schools and graduated from Norway High School. After graduation she went to Long Island, N.Y., where she worked and went to Hairdressing School. On returning to Maine, she worked in Bethel for many years, and married Chet Osgood in 1972. She later opened her own Beauty Shop in her home in Waterford and ran it for more than 40 years.

She was predeceased by her husband Chet in 2015, her parents Marjorie and Hugh Foster, and sisters Geneva Springer and Frances Bell.

She leaves a stepdaughter Robin Downing and two granddaughters, Casey Pike and Samantha Downing Jones and husband Kyle, great grandsons, Luca Ross and coming soon Cameron Russell. Many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday March 4, 2024, from 5-7 p.m., at Chandler Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, 45 Main St, South Paris.
