Krysta Capone receives help Sunday from knitting instructor Tyla Davis, right, who runs a knitting class she calls “Not your Grandma’s knitting class!” The eight-week class teaches basic knitting techniques, and students work on four finished projects. One of the projects, a washcloth, can be knit with patterns, some quite racy. “The most popular patterns are swear words,” Davis says, laughing. Capone says she loves the in-person help with knitting. “I would have an easier time reading Sanskrit than knitting directions,” Capone says. “I have to have someone hold my hand a few times before I can get it.” The class is held weekly at the Rusty Bus Brewing Co. at 120 Lisbon St. in Lewiston.
