MINOT — Selectpersons Daniel Gilpatric and Lisa Cesare were reelected as chairman and vice chairwoman, respectively, at Monday’s reorganizational meeting.
Cesare and Matthew Callahan were reelected Friday to three-year terms with 68 and 64 votes, respectively. They were unopposed.
Also reelected were Regional School Unit 16 directors Angela Swenson, with 66 votes, and Michael Downing, with 57 votes, for another three years. They had no challengers.
Town Administrator Danielle Loring, Select Board members and fire Chief Dan Campbell will work on a job description for a full-time fire chief, a $79,000 salaried position with benefits that was approved at Saturday’s annual town meeting.
Campbell and the Select Board agreed the town needs to address false alarms going off repeatedly at businesses. Campbell said they not only affect Minot, but area fire departments who provide mutual aid and present risk to firefighters.
