Priscilla V. Farrington
AUBURN – Priscilla V. Farrington, 86, a resident of Jay, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Hospice House of Androscoggin in Auburn, with her loving family by her side. She was born on Aug. 7, 1937, in Canton, Maine, the daughter of Chester and Olive (Norris) Virgin. She was a graduate of Jay High School. On Oct. 16, 1955, in Livermore Falls, she married Bert H Farrrington. Priscilla worked for the Jay School lunch program and later became the program director until she retired. She attended the Wayside Bible Baptist Church. Priscilla and Bert enjoyed many years living at Worthly Pond and Brookville, Florida. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, together they traveled to most of the states and the Canadian Provinces, she was an expert seamstress, enjoyed quilting and meeting with other quilters from Livermore, enjoyed cooking, and spending time with family and friends. Her family will remember her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane Jackson and husband Dave of Jay, two sons, Robert Farrington and wife Judy of Jay, and Dean Farrington and wife Celeste of Jay, eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, two brothers-in-law, Jim Cornelio of Brunswick, Earland Farrington and wife Cheryl of Jay, sister-in-law, Leah Virgin of Bowden, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Bert H. Farrington, two sisters, Paula Cornelio, and Olive Mae Smith, and a brother, Harold Virgin. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024 at 11 a.m., at FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls, Maine. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 7, 2024, from 4-7 p.m. Interment will be in the spring at Stubbs Mill Cemetery, East Jay Road, Jay, Maine.
