RUMFORD — The playoffs are set in the Mountain Valley Rec League as Hotel Rumford finished 1st in the regular season at 12-2. They won by forfeit over Dixfield (2-12, #7 seed). Smart Care PT, Inc is the 2nd seed at 11-3, as they handled Mt Blue (9-5, 4th seed) with ease, 95-66. A & G Carpentry (11-3) is the 3rd seed. They defeated Clean Cut Painting (6-8, 5th seed), 87-73. Jay finishes at 5-9 and is the 6th seed, pounding Stix & Stones (0-14, 8th seed), 90-31.
High Scorers for Smart Care were Cody St Germain with 22 points, Dakota Tompkins with 20 (6 threes), Trenton Hutchinson with 19 (5 threes), Austin Adams, 13 (3 threes), and Clay Swett with 10. Mt Blue’s top scorers were Justin Evens, who had 17 points, Cam Sennick with 15, Kindle Bonsall with 14, and Eric Berry and JT Williams, 13 each. Leading A&G were Keegan Pitcher with 26 points (4 threes), Hunter Meeks with 15, Draven Finnegan, 14 points, Mateo Lapointe, 13 and Kalen Chase with 10. Clean Cut was paced by Will Bean’s 27 points, Ryan Kimball’s 21 (3 threes), and Ryan Savage’s 10. Jay’s high-scoring men were Lucas Bellanceau with 24 points, Alan Mitchell, 21 (3 threes), Jake Turner, 14, and Logan Sumner, with 13. Stix & Stones’s only double-digit scorer was Trey Lane with 15 points.
