Ronald N. Cote

LISBON – Ronald N. Cote, 67, of Lisbon, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at his residence with his family by his side following a three year battle with cancer.

He was born in Lewiston May 15, 1956, a son of the late Armand and Carmen (Labbe) Cote. He was educated in local schools and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1974.

Ron married the love of his life, Lynn (Bedard) Cote, in 1982. They spent 41 years together, enjoying time with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Together they enjoyed to travel, including a couple favorite places: Daytona Beach, Fla., and Las Vegas, Nev. Some of his fondest memories included taking his entire family to Las Vegas and a Caribbean cruise taken with his children.

From his teen years, Ron worked alongside his father and brothers to grow the family business, Cote Crane and Rigging. After retiring from the company 12 years ago, Ron and Lynn spent a number of years wintering in Florida.

Outside of work, Ron was heavily involved in his children’s sports. He coached his sons in soccer and hockey for many years. When he wasn’t coaching, he would support his kids whether it was hockey, soccer, baseball, football or cheering. He served on the board of LAYHL, serving a term as president, ensuring kids got the most ice time that could be provided. He was also heavily involved in the St. Dom’s Booster Club. Ron spent many summers with his family and many friends at Riverbend Campground. In retirement, his greatest joy was the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ron is survived by his wife, Lynn; his children: daughter Nicole and Jerry Fongemie, sons Kris and Laura Beaudoin, Jason (JP) and Vicki Cote and Jeremy (JR) Cote and partner Tracy Collins; his grandchildren: Destiny and TJ Ferland, Ashleigh Beaudoin, Courtney Beaudoin and partner Kyle DeRusha, Nate Bragdon, Kaylee Gorey and fiance Cam Gagne, Caleb Gorey and partner Kellie Haggerty, Brooke and Ben Brown, Hailey Fongemie, Kassidy and Zoey Cote, and Angel and Zander Cote; his great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Oakland, Addison and Audrie.
