100 Years Ago: 1924

The snappy minstrel show given by the Twin City U.C.T. will be taken to Rumford on March 21st, it was announced today. The same cast and all the features of the specially written show “In Korzan” will be included.

50 Years Ago: 1974

Richard Gross, director of the Lewiston Public Library, will address the Lewiston Exchange Club Tuesday at their regular noon meeting at Stekino’s Restaurant. His topic will be the new State legislation just passed affecting the Lewiston Public Library and libraries in general.

25 Years Ago: 1999

Three Auburn Middle School teachers will make a presentation at the 18th annual New England League of Middle Schools conference in Providence, R.I., March 28 to 31. Ronda LaCompte, family and consumer science teacher, Marjorie Clifford, consulting teacher for special education, and Martha Stone, guidance will describe a character education program at the school. Now in its second year, the program is being measured as a teacher action research study.
