SABATTUS – John E. Dillon, 65, a resident of Sabattus, passed away suddenly, Monday, March 4, 2024 at his home following a medical event.
He was born Dec. 30, 1958, in Lawrence, Mass., the son of Charles Dillon, Jr. and Adele (Hunt) Dillon. He was a graduate of Methuen School System and received his automotive technology certification from Greater Lawrence Vocational Technical Institute in Andover, Mass.
He proudly served in the U.S. Marines for six years. He worked as an automotive mechanic for many years at various dealerships before his declining health forced him into early retirement. He loved skiing, boating and the ocean.
He is survived by his mother, Adele Dillon of Atkinson, N.H.; his sister, Linda Dillon of Tuftonboro, N.H.; nephews Christopher Lanouette and companion, Jessica Sargent of Tuftonboro, N.H., and Charles “Chuck” Dillon and companion, Kelly Tyman of Shirley, Mass., and niece, Brittany Dillon and companion, Ross Cohen of Lawrence, Mass.
He was predeceased by his father, Charles Dillon, Jr. in 1982; and his brother, Charles “Sam” Dillon.
