Suzanne Doris Turcotte
LISBON FALLS – Suzanne Doris Turcotte, 68, of Lisbon Falls, passed away on March 3, 2024, with her husband by her side. She was born in Lewiston on June 19, 1955, the daughter of Ivan Joseph and Elsa (Beaudin) Chicoine. She attended and graduated from Lewiston High School.
She graduated from LHS in 1974 and she married the love of her life, Pierre Turcotte on June 30, 1973, and together they raised their family of two sons.
Sue started her working career at the Bates Mill working the line for a short time before going to work at L.L.Bean in the warehouse. While there, Sue held many positions with them and loved the people she worked with. In her spare time she obtained her Apprentice Electrician license so she could work with Pierre at his electric business.
Sue loved dogs and opened a dog agility training facility at her home. She was an avid and passionate lover of dogs and working with them. She was a full blown Bruins fan attending many of the games but watching them all on television.
During the camping season she could very often be found at the campground in Oquossoc. While on these trips with both her husband and family she would spend time boating or fishing the region. When she wasn’t camping she could be found traveling the eastern coast visiting amusement parks and exploring new areas. Her kids and husband where roller coaster fanatics but Sue was not so interested, so sometimes they would trick her on to one and she was always a good sport. When her children where young the family was known to be found at an ice rink playing hockey where Mom would be right their supporting them.
Sue is survived by her husband, Pierre Turcotte of Lisbon; sons Pierre R. and Jessica Turcotte of the Carolina’s, Jessie M. and Kaitlin Turcotte of Lisbon; three loved grandchildren, Hadley, Beau, and Talia Turcotte; a brother, Maurice and Jeanine Chicoine of Mechanic Falls, sister, Diane Robins and companion Alfred of Auburn.
She was predeceased by her parents; and a brother, Richard.
The family invites you to a time of visitation on March 27, from 3 to 6 p.m., with a Liturgy of the Word to be celebrated at 4:30 p.m. A gathering to celebrate Sue’s life will be held immediately after with everything taking place at The Fortin Group Funeral Home, 217 Turner St., Auburn.
