“Throughout Emmett’s four years at Lisbon High School, he has represented himself, the community and our school in a positive light. He is motivated in both school and within the community to accomplish whatever he sets his mind to, with a willingness to learn and grow from each experience. He has distinguished himself in the classroom academically by challenging himself and excelling in honors and advanced placement level courses, and also is an extraordinary leader, mentor and role model in various sports, clubs and activities,” Principal Susan Magee said in a news release.

Mooney, Magee and other award winners and their principals plan to participate in the Principal’s Award Honors Luncheon at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 6. Ten $1,000 scholarships will be drawn at this time.

The Principal’s Award is presented in more than 100 Maine public and private high schools by member principals of the MPA, the professional association which represents Maine’s school administrators.
