BETHEL — The OrderAhead program allows neighbors to order food online and either have the food delivered or pick the food up at the Bethel Area District Exchange and Food Pantry without leaving their vehicle. This program offers all the same fresh produce and other pantry items that Neighbors get while shopping at the Bethel Area District Exchange and Food Pantry and is available once a week. It is designed for Neighbors who can not shop when we are open or cannot leave their home or car.

● Shop online
● Food delivery or drive-by Pickup
● For house-bound or car-bound Western Mainers

The program was developed by Feeding America. The other participating Good Shepherd Food Bank partners are Midcoast Hunger Prevention Program in Brunswick and Footprints Food Pantry in Kittery. This pilot program is funded by a grant from Walmart. OrderAhead link: https://www.orderahead.org/home/foodbank?zip=04011

Bethel Area District Exchange and Food Pantry, a nonprofit founded in 1992, is both a regional clothing exchange and a regional food pantry. We cover all of Oxford County and some of Androscoggin and Franklin Counties, but no one should go without food and clothing regardless of where they live.

We are open every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 9-11 a.m. at 279 Walkers Mills Road in Bethel. The clothing exchange is open to neighbors each day. Neighbors can shop at our market-choice food pantry once a week. We offer guided tours of our new building by appointment.
