LEWISTON — The city is set to hold a winter parking ban from 9 a.m. Saturday, March 23, to 9 a.m. Sunday, March 24.
During a winter parking ban, it is imperative that vehicles be removed from all Lewiston streets before snow commences. This enables the Lewiston Public Works Department to remove snow as soon as possible.
Parking is available at the following Lewiston parking garages during a ban, with the Southern Gateway Garage, 425 Lisbon Street, suggested first for best availability. Others are: Centreville Garage, 62 Canal St.; Chestnut Street Garage, 29 Chestnut St.; Lincoln Street Garage, 16 Lincoln St.; and Oak Street Garage, 1 Oak St. Upper level use is requested.
Vehicles that are not removed from Lewiston streets will be towed at the owner’s expense.
